Health Promotion (HPR) Undergraduate Minor
The Health Promotion minor is available to all Mason undergraduate students, with the exception of those enrolled in the BS in Health, Fitness, and Recreation Resources degree program pursuing the Concentration in Health Promotion. Eight credits must be unique to the minor.
Required Courses (9 credits)
- HEAL 110: Personal Health (3 credits)
- HEAL 230: Introduction to Health Behavior (3 credits)
- HEAL 372: Health Communication (3 credits)
Electives (9 credits)
Choose three courses from the following:
- HEAL 220: Dimensions of Mental Health (3 credits)
- HEAL 310: Drugs and Health (3 credits)
- HEAL 325: Health Aspects of Human Sexuality (3 credits)
- HEAL 327: Women's Health (3 credits)
- HEAL 331: Men's Health (3 credits)
- HEAL 351: Relationship Health (3 credits)
Total: 18 Credits
