Graduate Certificate in Research Methods, Concentration in Applied Quantitative Methods

The Applied Quantitative Methods concentration provides a foundation in applied quantitative methods for data analysis. After completing foundational course work in quantitative design and multivariate statistics, students will select elective courses from advanced data analytic methods such as Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), Hierarchical Linear Modeling (HLM), measurement methods including Survey Development and Item Response Theory (IRT), or analytic approaches including Bayesian Analysis and Machine learning options.

Why a certificate in applied quantitative methods?

This concentration is ideal for individuals seeking to develop their skills in conducting quantitative research within education, research, and policy organization settings. Applicants must have a conferred master's degree from a regionally accredited institution prior to enrollment.

How does this certificate work?

The program is structured around three core courses and three advanced electives. The graduate certificate may be pursued only on a part-time basis. However, students who are pursuing degrees on a full-time basis may still pursue the graduate certificate.
