The Division of Educational Psychology, Research Methods, and Education Policy is composed of (1) the Master's of Science (MS) in Educational Psychology, which offers three concentrations: Learning, Cognition, and Motivation; Assessment, Evaluation, and Testing; and Teacher Preparation; and (2) three doctoral specializations within the PhD in Education program, namely, Educational Psychology, Research Methods, and Education Policy.

The division prepares graduates to become educational leaders, researchers, curriculum specialists, evaluators, and testing and measurement specialists; faculty teaching in K-12, community college, and university settings; and policy makers at the local, state, and national levels. Course work and experiential learning opportunities also make our graduates highly competitive for continuing their studies at the doctoral level.

The division comprises highly committed faculty to their respective fields who are nationally and internationally renowned scholars in scientific areas such as learning, cognition, and motivation; measurement, evaluation, and assessment; qualitative and quantitative methods; design research; and education policy. Faculty are also affiliated with many other divisions within CEHD and other colleges on campus, working on various interdisciplinary projects on learning, teaching, and student achievement; contemporary research; and policy. The faculty exhibits high visibility in leadership roles in professional associations and other external organizations.

The division hosts two centers: The Center for Education Policy and Evaluation, and the Krasnow Investigations of Developmental Learning and Behavior.
