School of Education - George Mason University

CEHD’s research portfolio continues to expand at a rapid pace, with externally funded projects that address some of the most complex issues of our time.

The college’s innovative research and pace of performance has resulted in a research portfolio that has grown dramatically compared to peer institutions, with annual expenditures exceeding $16 million annually. This research of consequence, undertaken by faculty in both schools, advances knowledge in the learning and developmental sciences, benefiting the greater community in Virginia and beyond.

Our Strategic Goals for Research

  • Elevate Research - Enhance the scope and depth of CEHD’s research and scholarly activities while also doubling externally funded research expenditures.
  • Research of Consequence - Focus on problems and outcomes of high consequence.
  • Global Learning Platform - Expand the number, scope, and strength of CEHD’s portfolio of international partners.
