The University Writing Center
The Writing Center offers support for the Written Summary and the Written Composition portions of the VCLA writing subtest.
For Writing Center Support
- Access an online VCLA writing prompt using this link: Sample Practice test with passage and prompt.
- Write a draft of the summary and composition sections using the prompt from step 1.
- Make an appointment at the Writing Center with a writing tutor and bring your writing draft. They have been trained to assist with the VCLA format and will provide you with assistance.

For each licensure exam you take, remember to report your scores to GMU at the same time you register for your exam. This is required in order to count your exam towards your degree.
