Summer 2024 Course Information

Course: EDSE 503 [Language Development and Reading], section 686

Day: Wednesday
Dates: 5/15//24 - 7/17/24 

Instructional Method:

  • Hybrid — Mix of synchronous online video meetings supplemented by asynchronous online coursework or asynchronous weeks.

Synchronous meetings:  5/15, 6/5, 7/10

Times:  5:00 pm — 7:30 pm

It is expected that you participate in all scheduled synchronous online sessions as well.  If you do not feel you will be able to complete the requirements of the course, please speak with your advisor.

  • Fox, Phonics & word study for the teacher of reading. (11th ed.). Pearson. ISBN 9780132838092 – required 
    • Note for students: E-book or physical book may be used. If purchasing a physical book, students should purchase a new (not used) hard copy.
  • American Psychological Association. (2020). Publication manual of the American Psychological Association (7th ed.). https://doi.org/10.1037/0000165-000 - recommended

Tuition: Payment will be due by 5/17/24.

  • With 1-19 students, tuition is $1,854 (this includes 15% VA educator discount)
  • With 20+ students, tuition is $1,635 (this includes 25% cohort discount).

Course: EDSE 643 [Instructional Strategies for Math], section 686

Day: Wednesday
Dates: 9/11/24 - 11/13/24 

Instructional Method: Mix of face-to-face meetings and online instruction.

Dates of face-to-face meetings: 9/11; 9/25; 10/9; 10/23; 11/6

Times:  4:45 pm — 8:45 pm

Location for face-to-face meetings: TBD
