School of Education - George Mason University

Partial financial assistance is available for most qualified applicants who have been accepted into the VI Consortium as well as their participating university, and who have registered for courses at least one month before the start of each semester.

First priority for funding will be continuing students enrolled in the full endorsement program with grades of B or better in all coursework to date. Others will be funded on a first-come, first serve basis. Please contact the VI Consortium program liaison at the university of your choice to inquire about specific VI course tuition rates. Please note that tuition rates are subject to change from semester to semester and will vary by participating VI Consortium University.

Statement of Expectation: The Virginia Department of Education has the expectation that VI Consortium grant recipients will complete the necessary courses and internships for full special education licensure and teach special education in a Virginia public school for a period of at least 2 years.
